kitsch'n
hospitality design | a restaurant concept
Kitsch is inspired by the loud, in-your-face designs that dominate the Las Vegas Strip. The use of oversized, exagerated forms contributes to an unapologetic atmosphere that is quirky yet sophisicated. An overscaled molding partition separates the mood of the bar from the main dining area. Overturned and enlarged floor lamps hang from the ceiling, offering their light to the tables below. Heavy, moody drapery offers separation between the bar and the communal seating area. Bold floor patterns provide service corridors and wayfinding for the patrons.
